Scattered!

Scattered By Shryja

I have seen
myself scatter like a dried loaf
crum by crum
falling out
Gale carrying it
And dropping it mercilessly
Hither and thither
The pieces of my heart
Thrown helter-skelter
Under the bus
Over a cliff
Of despondency and pain
Some pieces found home for
A moment or two
Only to be swept away
By the keeper...
The pieces piled on
With a heap of dirty garbage
Of repentance, of hurt and loss...
Few parts died ...
Couldn't survive the agony
And some remained steady
The storm finally pitied the remains
And carried them to the river
Of grace ...
Where the broken pieces finally dissolved
To once and forever be
baptised ...
and renewed in their true
form,
the formless ...
