Smiles Last Till The Flash Is On!

What I notice when I am with lot of familiar people in a social gathering !

•They have least acceptance of people for who they are !

•Most of them are fake (fake love ... fake expressions and fake smiles )...

•Too many nonsensical stories in their heads (kinda self-fulfilling prophecies)...

•Few are simply glad to have met each other which is so relieving ( but mostly the young ones ... are free from pretence and hypocrisy)

•Show offs are a put off for me

•Instead of appreciations on the tables ...a lot of backbiting and critical analysis happens
Someone’s (exposed-by-chance) miseries become the table topics ...

•complaints and comments rather than smiles and compliments for their efforts to dress up and be there leaving everything else !

Individually each one is a gem then what happens when in a social environment - is it psychologically taxing to continually prove your worth ?

And What I notice when I am with lot of unknown people in a gathering for some learning or some meaningful purpose !

•They are eager to know each other

•They bare their souls

•They are unapologetically themselves

•They honor you and your space

•Mostly they are not all over you

•Mostly they are not competitive ( braggers though will be beggars for attention everywhere )

•They are glad to connect for a purpose

•Their is tremendous understanding and acceptance

•The child in them and in you is active

•And the space is so healing and amicable

•The defence mechanisms don’t fire up

•The projections are less

•someone’s shared misery becomes a concern for all ( and solutions are the discussion point )

All in all -
What I realise is that human behaviour (including me ) is strange play of image and character !

To maintain an image among the known ones
People forget to be in their true character
And when their is no fear of being judged they become who they are ...
And ultimately are more joyful !

The day everyone learns to accept and enjoy with each other (remaining as it is ) and keep their stories and egos aside that’ll be the day families and gatherings will mean something!

I love the teens and kiddos who manage to stay who they are (but only till a point)
But for us adults a lot of unlearning needs to happen !
A lot of toleration and patience is called for ... and only then true fun and alignment is possible

Otherwise the smiles last only till the flash is on !

Be real in this world of duality
•Do not try to become
•If you can’t say something nice say nothing at all
•Be an observer
•But don’t absorb the projections and negativities
•Be like the children (they are real , mostly)
•Be YOU but in a way that it’s healthy for others too
•Be Tolerant
•Be Authentic
•Accept yourself and others as it is
•If you try to change them, something’s need to change in you (and me too) !
